Kelly Oplawski
Behavior Technician
In 2021, Kelly decided it was time for a career change to transition out of an office environment into a field where she could apply her passion for helping others. After searching for options, she found the Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County, an organization where she would be working with kids and adults of all ages with disabilities. Kelly had once wanted a career in substance abuse therapy but has since found her true passion in working with people with special needs. Kelly is excited to work in a 1:1 environment at Autism Planet and play meaningfully with the children here while creating trusting relationships with the families.
In her spare time, she enjoys being with family and friends. She also continues to work with the Special Recreation Association of Central Lake County on weekends or evenings where she primarily supports outings and field trips with an adult group.
Kelly also has two teenagers that are her world. Her son plays baseball all year round and her daughter runs track. They call themselves, “Trio for life.”
